Police Chief William “Bill” Scott was sworn in on January 23, 2017, after serving 27 years in law enforcement. Chief Scott graduated from the University of Alabama, and the Sr Mngt Institute of Policing.“Any successful police dept has to be a partnership between the community and officers. I am honored to work with residents, community leaders and local stakeholders for a better Springfield."
