Pay Your Property Tax

There are two types of property tax paid to Johnson County.

Property tax is land and all buildings, structures or improvements. Homes, condos and apartment buildings are all included in this category. Also included are mobile homes permanently fixed in location on the land owned by the owner of the mobile home.

Personal property tax is an annual tax imposed on movable assets—mobile homes, RVs, vehicles, boats, planes, etc. The portion of your vehicle's registration or license fee that's based on the value of the vehicle is considered a personal property tax.
